Summer Street Style

I think I've finally realized it's summer break now because my regular alarm went off this morning and I got to experience turning it off. Yes, 5:00 AM, I no longer will be meeting with you. I also found out that Sesame Street is on this morning, which makes me sad and happy at the same time. I miss being little, but I'm excited because I can still watch Sesame Street even if I'm so much older than its target audience.

Last Day Playlist

It's my last day of school! I'm still somewhat in shock about it, but I'm so happy it's summertime. Everything is green now, and, even though it's rainy, it's warm. (Speaking of rain--I hope everyone in TX is okay! I have family there, and the flooding is so scary!) I know I have to do a lot of working this summer (cleaning, going to work with my mum, writing the stories I desperately need to make progress on LOL), but the introvert in me is so relieved to finally be able to just stay at home with my mum and brother talking about sad stories and dancing around my bedroom and getting ready for the school year in our safe little bubble of quiet togetherness.

June Music & Sending Girls to School

It's June 1st! And the last week of school!
Speaking of school, the other day a little girl I know was telling me (in preschool speak) about raising money to help give girls who can't go to school an education. Programs that help support things like that are totally awesome, and it made me think about how lucky I am to have gotten to go to school this year. I know that The Malala Fund website offers a lot of info about educational opportunities and how to help girls get them.
